Sidney Rosenthal joined Lee & Associates NYC (Lee NYC) as a principal and executive managing director in its investment sales group in 2011. Over the course of his 40-year career in commercial real estate, he has arranged the assemblage of over 30 building sites in Manhattan, including the site for the Sony Building, Park Avenue Tower, 520 Madison Avenue, 919 Third Avenue, and 9 West 57th Street. He has also served as a consultant for a distinguished roster of corporate clients, including Citicorp, Mutual of New York, and New York Hospital.

Mr. Rosenthal has been active in the parking business, representing Meyers Brothers Parking Corporation, and Hertz and Kinney Parking as a consultant for site locations and acquisitions.

Mr. Rosenthal has been the recipient of two consecutive “Most Ingenious Deal of the Year” awards from the Real Estate Board of New York; first, for the assemblage of the site for 919 Third Avenue and, second, for the site for 9 West 57th Street.

He was a founding Member of the Board of Square Industries Inc. which was a publicly traded company which was sold to Central (now Standard) Parking which is the largest parking company in the US.

His other major transactions include: the $100-million sales transaction that involved Minskoff Equities leasing the site at 101 Sixth Avenue from Trinity Church and simultaneously leasing the proposed building to the Local 32B of the Building Employees Union; sale of the former Irving Berlin House on Beekman Place to the government of Luxembourg; and the marketing of a site at 871 UN Plaza to the government of Germany. The result was a complex arrangement whereby the site owners sold the land to the German government and built a 100,000-square-foot building to house the German embassy and consulate.

He also sold the 250-car garage buildings at 38-44 West 33rd Street and 166-72 West 58th Street, a 32,500 square foot parking lot on 37th Street and 10th Avenue, and a 250-car garage at 241 West 28th Street. He is a long-time New Yorker.
