Mr. Salmon has over 30 years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry, as a broker (licensed NY State), tenant representative, landlord representative, asset manager and investment partner. Prior to joining Lee & Associates, Mr. Salmon was Managing Director for Retail Assets at Garrison Investment Group. He expanded Garrison’s retail footprint from 3.7 to 9.2 MM sq. ft. across 17 states, with a portfolio focused on regional enclosed malls and “Big Box” power centers. He completed over 600 transactions including: Macy’s, Dillard, Sears and JC Penney department stores, as well multiple transactions with Kohls, Marshalls/TJ Maxx, Bed Bath & Beyond, Bass Pro Shops, Ross Stores, Burlington, Regal, Silverspot and Carmike Cinemas.
Prior to his time at Garrison, for 15 years Mr. Salmon was Senior Vice President at Mall Properties (now Olshan Properties). In charge of leasing the 6.4 MM sq. ft. portfolio, he completed transactions with Crate & Barrel, Best Buy, Ulta Cosmetics, The Limited/Abercrombie & Fitch, lululemon and Dylan’s Candy Store. One of his signature projects was re-development of the Parkchester Apartment Complex in the Bronx, NY – the nation’s largest condominium development, where he was responsible for the leasing andre-development of the 650,000 sq. ft. retail and commercial space. In six (6) years, as part of the largest mixed-use redevelopment in the USA at the time, Mr. Salmon’s efforts increased the retail/commercial income by 250%.
Mr. Salmon attended Carnegie-Mellon University with B.S. degrees in Economics and Public Policy and Management and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in New York State. Member of ICSC since 1990.
