Mr. Sarner joined Lee & Associates NYC in 2012. He has over 25 years of active involvement in the acquisition, ownership, and management of real estate and with strong legal and accounting skills and significant experience in operational management, Mr. Sarner contributes to all aspects of the company’s operations.
Mr. Sarner currently serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel, managing the day-to-day operations of the company’s property/asset management, project management and accounting divisions. This includes all financial and accounting aspects of the business, including reporting, budgeting, and cash management practices, as well as investor relations. His attention to detail and focus on operational processes and procedures has brought operating and cost efficiencies across all of the company’s platforms.
With his vast commercial leasing experience, Mr. Sarner also attends to a majority of the commercial leasing transactions for the portfolio of properties owned or managed by the company. He has closed lease transactions amounting to several million square feet during his career, including the lease for the Harlem office of the former President of the United States, William J. Clinton. He also plays and active part in drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements on behalf of the company, its properties and its broker personnel, while coordinating and overseeing all outside counsel in a wide variety of transactional and litigation matters.
Mr. Sarner holds the Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University and the degree of Juris Doctor from Hofstra University.
